True colloids consist of insoluble particles in permanent suspension. IONIC products are solutions. They do not contain particles and therefore are not colloids – even though they are often incorrectly labelled (as Colloid silver, for example). To be clear, it is impossible to produce true colloid silver using electrolysis.

Some manufacturers claim to have invented a new method, and some may indeed produce a small quantity of silver particles. However, and without exception, all so-called colloid silver produced by electrolysis are not true colloids. Manufacturers sometimes seek to mask this clear scientific distinction with loose labelling descriptions, such as ‘colloid silver solution’. However a COLLOID IS NEVER A SOLUTION; silver particles are not soluble. These alternative products should be correctly described as IONIC SILVER SOLUTIONS. One interesting masking of the facts are products described as ‘HIGH VOLTAGE AC PRODUCED’ these products are IONIC silver with a confusing discourse about small particles. IONS are not particles and they cannot survive in the body let alone pass through cellular tissue. A true colloid contains 80% or more silver particles. Ideally these particles will be of a diameter of 1 nanometer or less.

IF IT IS A CLEAR LIQUID IT IS IONIC SILVER. WE CATEGORISE THESE PRODUCTS AS MISLABELED.

Ionic silver solutions do have anti-bacterial properties in some situations. But they are not as effective as a true colloid because ionic silver, which is soluble, rapidly combines with other ions (commonly chloride), to form silver chloride or other silver salts. These silver salts are not dangerous at the recommended dosages – but they are hundreds or even thousands of times less effective than a silver particle.
