Delivery and Packaging Policy
Shipping costs are weight-based and calculated at the checkout.
We keep our delivery costs to a minimum and they do include postage, packing materials and VAT. Where possible our packaging materials use reusable plastic bags and recyclable materials. Ordering multiple products significantly reduces shipping costs.
Postage is not subsidised by increased product prices.
Liquids are packaged in BPA free PET bottles. PET is indefinitely recyclable.
We ship your products in unbleached recyclable boxes. We use recyclable and biodegradable materials inside our boxes such as cornstarch protective chips or shredded paper wherever possible.
We will continue to look for recyclable and or compostable packaging alternatives.
We may also reuse protective packaging and boxes that we are recycling from our suppliers (which may contain plastic bubblewrap or polystyrene chips we consider re using these better than trashing them). Please do your bit and recycle all packaging once you have received your goods.
Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class postal services are not guaranteed timed services, please opt for the DPD Next Working Day Delivery by 1:00pm service if your order must be received within a specific and urgent time-frame or normal next working day service if less urgent. The next working day in the case of a Friday AM order will be Monday, or in the case of a Friday PM order Tuesday.
Although numbers associated with the package are termed Tracking Numbers, the package is only tracked/scanned on delivery with these services.
Please ensure that you are available to take delivery of your items as we require a signature on receipt of goods for ALL deliveries sent by signed and tracked services unless you have specified a safe place. DPD couriers are happy to leave your parcel in a safe place if this is specified via their website or contact form. If this is not possible, why not have it delivered to your work address or to your neighbour?
All Royal Mail services with the exception of the signed and tracked service are not live tracked. The tracking information is only updated on delivery of the package.
We do not accept responsibility for late delivery if your parcel cannot be delivered due to nobody being available to sign for it. Couriers will leave a card if they have been unable to leave the parcel in a safe place and you will need to rearrange delivery direct with the courier company.
We are unable to accept liability for late delivery due to circumstances beyond our control such as severe weather or heavy traffic congestion.
Please ensure the correct delivery address is provided from the outset as title and risk will pass to you once the order has left our premises.
Orders received before 12 midday will be processed the same day. Orders received after 12 midday will be processed the next working day excluding weekends and bank holidays.
Order processing will not begin until we receive a confirmed order and full payment.
For orders up to 2Kg we use Royal Mail for orders over 2Kg we use the DPD courier service depending on destination. If you are not available at your selected address you may receive 'An Attempted Delivery' notice, please follow the instructions for redelivery.
Royal Mail delivery and DPD courier services that we use are reliable, but Pure Colloids cannot accept responsibility for non delivery or other issues relating to goods shipped by unsigned and or non guaranteed services.
You may be expected to collect your order from your local postal sorting office or a designated handling centre.
